Growing Pains — The Danger of Removing Turtles from the Wild!

Did you realize that many turtle species can live as long as (or even longer) than humans? That longevity can be a double-edged sword, though. With such long lifespans, turtles can also take longer to reach sexual maturity and produce just a few eggs per clutch. That means the loss of a single turtle can create a hole that takes years or even decades to fill. Just some food for thought as you enjoy this adorable footage of our baby Radiated Tortoises being dwarfed by an adult of their species and a not-at-all-gigantic strawberry.
