Introducing the latest Secret Reef residents: Spotted Eagle Rays

We recently added a pair of Spotted Eagle Rays into our 618,000-gallon Secret Reef exhibit! This pair of rays have spent the last several months in an off-site care facility being “target trained” (come to a specific location to feed). These rays are a common sight in coastal tropical waters throughout the world, where they are commonly seen migrating in schools sometimes numbering in the thousands. A relative of the enormous Manta Ray, these three-year-olds are already among the larger cartilaginous fish in our biggest exhibit!
