Teresa earned her degree in Biology with a minor in Environmental Studies at The Pennsylvania State University, Altoona College in 2016. Her undergraduate research focused on studying the invasive New Zealand Mudsnail. She then attended University of Malta to earn a Master of Science in Environmental Management and Sustainability. Teresa is from Pennsylvania and worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection before moving to Chattanooga. She started at TNACI as a Reintroduction Assistant in the summer of 2021. In this position she helped to care for the juvenile Lake Sturgeon and prepare them for reintroduction. In 2022, Teresa was promoted to Reintroduction Biologist and works alongside Reintroduction Biologist Sarah Kate leading the propagation team.
