October 1-31, 2025
Celebrate the weird and wonderful side of nature this October at the Tennessee Aquarium! Look for “eerie” animal programs inside the Aquarium as well as some not-so-spooky fun on our social channels. Don’t miss underwater pumpkin carving on Saturdays at 2:00 pm in the River Journey building.
Visit throughout the month and mention “ODDtober” in the gift shop to receive a free sticker (while supplies last)!
Education Programs
Along with our current daily programming schedule, we will offer a “Not-So-Creepy Creatures” program at 1:00 pm in the River Journey lobby.
“Secrets of the Swamp” (12:15 pm in Delta County) will also be re-themed for the month of October as “Bones in the Bayou” — with Educators showcasing skulls from an alligator, alligator snapping turtle and more.

Underwater Pumpkin Carving
Every Saturday at 2 p.m., don’t miss our fan-favorite Underwater Pumpkin Carving show! Watch in awe as SCUBA divers turn ordinary pumpkins into aquatic jack-o’-lanterns — all while fish swirl curiously around them.
Below is the schedule:
October 4 (TN River)
October 11 (River Giants)
October 18 (TN River)
October 25 (River Giants)
