From small meetings for 20 guests to company-wide events, the Tennessee Aquarium is the perfect venue for your next event with three unique buildings to choose from.
The Lupton Room is available for daytime meetings and lunches 7 days a week. Or if your needs include an evening event, host an exclusive after-hours event in either Aquarium building or the IMAX Great Hall. Rental of the Lupton Room and all Aquarium events include exhibit access. The rental of the IMAX Theater and Great Hall includes a private screening of an IMAX film.

The Lupton Room
Host your daytime meeting in The Lupton Room, an event space that is also home to sea nettle jellyfish and colorful freshwater fish! This 3,000+ sq. ft. space is fully equipped with AV and dimmable lighting. Located in the River Journey Building, this room is available for rental from 8am to 5:00pm daily. The Lupton Room can accommodate up to 200 guests at seated rounds or auditorium style, and 500 guests standing for a cocktail reception style. The Lupton Room is also available after 5PM as part of a River Journey building rental.
River Journey
The River Journey building offers multiple reception spaces to celebrate a special occasion or entertain clients. With food and drink in hand, your guests will appreciate our leadership in freshwater conservation as they get up close to alligators, turtles, otters and thousands of freshwater fish. This building accommodates up to 300 for a seated dinner and more than 500 reception style. A River Journey building rental includes access to our outdoor pavilion and Lupton Room event space.
Ocean Journey
The Ocean Journey building features spectacular views of the Tennessee River. With food and drink in hand, your guests will enjoy penguins, sharks, jellyfish, stingrays, a butterfly garden and much more. This building accommodates 50 for a seated dinner and more than 200 reception style.
Full Aquarium (River Journey and Ocean Journey)
Why choose one building when your guests can enjoy access to the entire Aquarium? River Journey and Ocean Journey provide the perfect venue for a lavish reception. Rental of the entire Aquarium can accommodate over 1,000 guests for an unforgettable evening experience. Rental of both Aquarium buildings can accommodate from 50-1500 guests for an unforgettable evening experience.
IMAX 3D Theater and Great Hall
The 2-story arches in the IMAX Great Hall set the stage for an elegant wedding reception or corporate dinner. With a six-story screen and AV capabilities, the IMAX 3D Theater offers a premiere film experience and one-of-a-kind venue for an event. The IMAX Great Hall can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated dinner or for 300 guest reception style. The IMAX 3D Theater has a capacity of 325 guests.
