Horticulture Volunteers help care for and maintain the plants in our exhibits. This role involves working alongside the Aquarium’s horticulture team to ensure the plant life remains healthy, vibrant, and visually appealing for guests. Volunteers assist with planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, watering, and other garden-related tasks.

Qualificationsadd
Horticulture volunteers should:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be prepared to get wet and occasionally dirty
- Be interested in learning about plants
- Have fair agility – some climbing may be involved in some areas
Duties & Responsibilitiesadd
- Sweeping
- Watering
- Maintaining the plants
- Cleaning
- Replacing various plantings
Trainingadd
New volunteers will shadow a current volunteer
Shiftsadd
- Shifts are offered seven days a week
- IMAX Garden Pond volunteer may set own hours; 3-4 hours, 2 times per month
- Shifts for all other areas begins at 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Commitmentadd
Commit to 6 – 12 months.
