Registrar Office Volunteers

Registrar Office Volunteers will help the Registrar, in the husbandry department, with scanning and saving paper animal records so they are digital in addition to their original paper format.

WORK AREA

  • Tennessee Aquarium River Journey in the Registrar’s office
  • Tennessee Aquarium River Journey in the 5th Floor Copy Room

QUALIFICATIONS

Registrar Office Volunteers should:

  • Be prompt and reliable
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Enjoy working in an office setting
  • Have attention to details
  • Have computer and scanning skills
  • Be able to bend, squat, and stoop in relation to filing
  • Be able to complete all orientation and training requirements

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

  • Pull paper records from their filing system
  • Scan the records using Copiers/Printers
  • Save the digital records onto thumb drives or a provided laptop
  • Refile the paper records to their filing system

TRAINING

  • Hands on

SHIFTS

  • Flexible hours between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday
  • Work a minimum of two shifts a month during regular office hours

COMMITMENT

  • Commit one full year of service
  • Commit to a minimum of 3 hours per shift, anytime Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm
