Join us as we explore the world around us through hands-on animal encounters, Aquarium tours, activities, and so much more.
We have three styles of camps this summer:
- General camps for campers between the ages of 5 and 12 (SOLD OUT!)
- Specialty camps include field trips for campers between ages of 9 and 14 (SOLD OUT!)
- NEW! Teen camp (for campers between the ages of 13 and 16) including a field trip and an overnight at the Aquarium (spots still available)
Summer Camp Details
Camp Times
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After care ($10.00/day) – 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Pricing
General Camp – $250 for members / $280 for non-members
Specialty Camp – $345 for members / $375 for non-members
Teen Camp – $345 for members / $375 for non-members

General Camps
Tennessee Treasures
Dates: June 12-16 / July 10-14
Ages: 5 to 12
Tennessee is full of treasures! From turtles, to salamanders, to coneflowers, and so much more! Join us as we discover some of the amazing animals and plants that make Tennessee wonderful. Each day we will explore part of the Aquarium, create a cool craft, meet an animal ambassador, and do amazing activities.
Around the World in a Week
Dates: June 20-23 / July 17-21
Ages: 5 to 12
Pack your bags and join us as we venture the world over! Each day, we will discover some animals and plants from a different area of the world as we journey through the Aquarium. By the end of the week our journals will be full of all the crafts, activities, and notes on the animals we got to meet during our trip around the world.
Survival of the Fittest
Dates: June 26-30 / July 24-28
Ages: 5 to 12
Do you have what it takes to survive? Join us as we delve into the secrets that help animals and plants survive and thrive. Each day, we will encounter a new animal ambassador, build a cool craft, and conduct fun experiments to discover just what it takes to survive!
Specialty Camps
Nature Detectives
Dates: June 12-16 / July 10-14
Ages: 9-14
Have you ever wanted to solve mysteries? If so, join our Nature Detectives who will work together to solve animal mysteries! We will travel to our Conservation Institute to do amazing experiments then we will make our way back to the Aquarium to meet some wonderful animals. We will use our clue journals and new friendships to become the best Nature Detectives ever while hiking the trails near Lookout Creek!
Ancient Animals
Dates: June 26-30 / July 24-28
Ages: 9-14
Have you ever wondered what our region looked like 1000s of years ago? This week we will explore ancient life through fossils and hands on animal encounters with some of our living fossils here at the Aquarium! Join us as we travel to the Raccoon Mountain Caverns to see live rock formations and some of the fossils that were left behind 300 million years ago and then travel with us to our Conservation Institute to see where we raise our living fossils, the lake sturgeon, and get to dissect some ancient marine animals!
Teen Camp
Nocturnal Wonders
Dates: July 5-7
Ages: 13-16
Join us for a special three-day camp exclusively open to our oldest campers. We will discover some amazing animals that thrive once the sun goes down. We will embark on an adventure at dusk to find some cool nocturnal animals, and on Thursday, we will be sleeping with the sharks in our Secret Reef Cavern for a jaw-some overnight! For our “Sleep in the Deep” experience dinner and the following morning’s breakfast will be provided. More information will be sent out after registration.
