Three times a week, an aquarist or volunteer lies prone on a cardboard pad above the 615,000-gallon Secret Reef exhibit to hand feed the habitat’s many Southern Stingrays and Cownose Rays. These peckish elasmobranchs rocket up the side of the exhibit wall and out of the water to grab tasty morsels of diced seafood, which makes for a decidedly wet and wild mealtime!
