Using Tiny Sea Slugs to Clean Up Our Largest Exhibit

Berghia

Aiptasia are a common site in many aquarium exhibits. These small anemones pose little threat to other animals but reproduce with abandon. Rather than rely on harmful chemicals, we’re taking a novel, biological approach to ridding the Secret Reef exhibit of these pests by introducing Berghia, a species of sea slug-like animal called a nudibranch that feed solely on Aiptasia!
