Also known as Freshwater Shark or Helicopter Catfish, Wallago have the face of a bullhead and an eel-like body. Their mouth is filled with sharp teeth that point backwards so anything entering the mouth will never leave it. Bites strongly if handled, with its huge mouth, formidable jaws, and band of conical teeth. Threatened due to over harvesting. In Malaysia they are bred commercially in fish farms for food.

South and Southeast Asia, including Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam
Habitat
Inhabits grassy margins of deep, still or slow-flowing ponds or pools with a mud or silt substrate near the banks of rivers
Diet
Their diet in the wild consists of smaller fish, crustaceans, and mollusks
